What Are Single-component Refrigerants?

1. Freon
Freon is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic gas with strong refrigeration properties and is widely used in industrial and commercial fields. There are many models of Freon, the common ones are R22, R32, R134a, R404a, etc. Freon's properties are stable, non-flammable, and non-corrosive to metals.

2. Methyl chloride
Methyl chloride is an organochlorine compound commonly used as a cryogenic refrigeration and cleaning solvent. It is volatile and has a strong pungent odor, and is flammable and explosive.

3. Propane
Propane is a colorless, odorless gas that can be used as a refrigerant, fuel and solvent. It has high refrigeration performance and will not damage the ozone layer. It is a relatively environmentally friendly refrigerant.

4. Carbon dioxide
Carbon dioxide is an environmentally friendly refrigerant that does not damage the ozone layer and is a naturally occurring gas. Its refrigeration capacity is low, but it has the advantages of low cost, easy availability, safety and reliability.

Single-component refrigerants have different properties and application ranges. When selecting refrigerants, you need to take into account environmental protection, performance and safety considerations.
